Introducing Bruce Bodle & Osteopathy
My name is Bruce Bodle.
I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1988 after a corporate career in large companies as diverse as Rolls-Royce Aero Engines in Derby and Rank Xerox in London, working in areas of computing, finance and acquisitions.
I became dissatisfied with corporate life and intrigued by osteopathy after reading an article in a magazine. After researching the subject I decided to retrain. On graduating I moved to Bath and began to practice. I am currently studying part-time for a Post-Graduate Diploma in Osteopathy at The British School of Osteopathy.
I currently practice at Milsom Street Clinic and Combe Down Surgery in Bath, and also in Birmingham.
Osteopathy is a way of detecting and treating damaged parts of the body such as ligaments, nerves and joints. When the body is balanced and efficient, just like a well tuned engine, it will function with the minimum of wear and tear, leaving more energy for living.
As an osteopath I seek to discover the underlying causes of the pain and disability. I will try to discover mechanical problems and correct them, so that your body can function correctly and thereby heal in a natural way.
There are many problems that can be treated by osteopathy which are detailed in the other pages of this website.
